Why are so many Kiwis getting into Fifth Wheelers?

What is a fifth wheeler?
The word fifth wheel goes back to the days of the stage coach being the turntable on the horse drawn coach. The modern version of the fifth wheel is America’s largest seller of RV’s and has also caught on big time in Australia. Here in NZ we are also going for the fifth wheel concept because of several factors;
- The ease of connecting the RV to the truck.
- The stability on the road when towing
- The overall length is 2.4m less than towing the same size caravan.
- Once you are set up at your destination you simply unhitch and you have a vehicle for your requirements.
